LAHORE The Punjab government decided to celebrate Punjab Culture Day on March 14, the first time in history, according to ARY News.
The approval was given by Punjab Prime Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. The Chief Minister said that we are on Punjab culture day to introduce cultural values to our new generations.
In addition to music, dancing, bhangra, performances, exhibitions, film festivals, food and traditional clothing in the form of stalls, folk singers will also emphasize the province’s traditional culture. Usman Buzdar said the goal of the program is to promote love and courtesy at the national level, adding that countries that remember their past are successful.
Earlier on March 6, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the emphasis on Pakistan, as well as the promotion and protection of the culture, values and traditions of our society, is the government’s top priority.
He chaired a revival meeting for the Pakistani film industry in Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Firdus Ashik Avan, the Special Assistant for Pakistani Affairs Abroad, Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari, the Secretary for Information, Akbar Hussein Durrani, and other officials.
