New Coronavirus Suspect Patient Dies in Lahore

LAHORE – On Tuesday, according to local media, the first suspected patient with a New Coronavirus Died at Lahore Mayo Hospital.

Hafizabad resident Gulam Imran returned home after a two-week quarantine in Taftan when he entered Pakistan from Iran.

Mayo Hospital general manager Dr. Assad Aslam, the deceased had symptoms of COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital Monday night.

As his health deteriorated, the patient was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU), where there was no mechanical ventilation device, and then died.

Dr. Assad said his tests were carried out last night and reports have not yet come.

Pakistan announced on Monday its first coronavirus death for a young man from Hangu at the Hayabad Medical Complex in Peshawar.

A 31-year-old patient was reportedly traveling from Qatar to Pakistan. He was admitted to the HMC on Sunday night.
