The Punjab government has completed the first phase of creating a 1000-bed field hospital at the Expo Lahore International Center for confirmed patients with coronavirus. According to detailed information, at the first stage, the Punjab government installed 300 beds in two days, and the remaining 700 beds will be installed in two weeks.
Sources from Commissioner Lahore confirmed 24 News HD Digital about the completion of 300 beds at Expo Center International. Punjab Prime Minister Usman Buzdar instructed Saif Anjum, Commissioner of the Lahore Branch, to create a field hospital with 1000 beds in the Expocenter. The hospital will serve additional patients with a positive COVID-19 in case the space in the hospitals cannot accommodate them. It contains separate medical equipment for each patient.
The number of peoples increased to 265 confirmed patients with coronavirus, with 19 patients reporting on Tuesday. It is worth mentioning that the first death of the coronavirus in Punjab was also reported on Tuesday. Dr. Yasmin Rashid said Afrasiyab, 57, died of COVID-19. The official Punjab government Twitter account, @ReformingPunjab, tweeted on Tuesday the Pakistan Government’s reform program, Twitter: “The Punjab government sets up field hospitals to post potential Crown patients and suspected cases. The first room of the 1000-bed field hospital set up at the Lahore Expo Center will be completed tomorrow. ”
