The president of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and the PML-N president, Shehbaz Sharif, jointly chaired the videoconference of all parties on Tuesday.
Speaking at the conference, Bilawal said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will have to prove that he is the Prime Minister of all of Pakistan, not just Islamabad. He said opposition political parties are doing what the federal government should have done after the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
He said that the prime minister must attend to the needs of all provinces in these critical times. He said Sind now lacks test kits; Test kits should be provided as soon as possible.
Speaking to conference participants, Shehbaz praised the PPP-led Sindh government for taking timely action to combat the coronavirus in the province. According to him, the prime minister should convene a meeting of the Council of Common Interests and make collective decisions in this situation.
