Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated that the country cannot endure prolonged isolation because workers suffer and daily rates suffer.
“Everyone is trying to restart their economy. Places like New York, where thousands of people die, also decided to reopen their industries, “Prime Minister Imran said at the opening of a web portal that supports people who were unemployed due to the pandemic.
“Even wealthy governments are reopening because they realize that they cannot keep the country locked up for a long time. So we decided to open our construction industry, “he said.
“Never in the history of this country have we given such great incentives to the construction industry as now,” he said.
The prime minister said that the main objective of his government was to ensure that the country’s people were not burdened.
“That is why we cut gasoline prices by Rs 30. Previously, we reduced the price of diesel by Rs 27. Even in India, there are no such low prices, “Prime Minister Imran said.
He added that as gas prices fall, prices for everything should also fall.
Speaking about the web portal, the Prime Minister said it would help those who lost their jobs due to the blockade.
“People can register on the site where their credentials will be verified,” he said.
The Prime Minister also thanked all who made a donation to the Crown Assistance Fund, stating that he himself was monitoring the Fund and its resources.
“I want to thank everyone who donated to the Fund. All the money will be reviewed and everything will be counted to the people, “said the prime minister.
He added: “We have created a transparent system. For every rupee donated to the Fund, the government will provide four times more to those in need. Through this fund, we are trying to reach as many people as possible. ”
He continued: “The public must work with the government to combat the virus. They [the public] must take precautions. If I had a positive result, I would have to make sure I isolated myself and myself. ”
“The public has a role to play in this fight against the coronavirus,” said Prime Minister Imran. “We don’t know when the virus vaccine will appear. If we have to live with this for the next six months or a year, we must have a plan.
“The more discipline we have, the easier it will be for us to overcome it. The public must practice social distance by itself. We can’t make them do anything. “
