Babar beat Joe Root to become 2022’s top Test scorer 2022. He also broke Kumar Sangakkara’s record for the highest number of 50-plus scores in international cricket in an entire calendar year. He also set the record for the highest number of international runs for Pakistani in every form of the sport.
Director of Sri Lanka Cricket Tom Moody said it’s an honor to have the bat of 27 years old.

Additionally, Azam finished the first day with 161 runs on 277 balls. Agha Salman was unbeaten and scored three runs from 16 balls.
