LAHORE, Pakistan: On Thursday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said one man’s decision shook his government and deemed it a travesty.

“One man has an enmity towards PTI, and he decided to shut down the party, and he decided to close the party with Imran Khan,” Khan said without naming the person the person he was referring to.

“I want to remind the nation that his toppled PTI government took the country towards economic progress,” the ex-prime minister told the nation.

“We are afraid that everything will get out of hand if [general] elections are not held soon,” he stated while speaking to his followers and employees via video at the Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

He reiterated his demand for early elections and urged his “establishment” and “judiciary” to fulfill their roles to stop further economic devastation and political instability in the country.

In April of this year, the National Assembly passed an act of no-confidence that led to Imran Khan’s resignation. He also reminded his followers about his party’s win in the by-election despite allegations of manipulation. He also said that his assassination resulted from his party’s victory.

The PTI head said that the party’s government is in two provinces and governs more than 66 percent of the country. It has decided to dissolve the assemblies of Punjab as well as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies.

The previous premier announced last Thursday that provincial assemblies will be dissolved by the following Friday (tomorrow).

“This is everyone’s battle, but not of those whose money is lying abroad,” Khan stated about the Pakistan Democratic Movement government at the Centre.

 

“The PTI government has the highest rate of growth in Pakistan’s history as the economy was growing, he said. “The country’s prosperity has increased by 5.7% and 6% between 3 and 4 years.

Khan stated that he has never witnessed the nation slide into dark times in his 70-year living. “Our country is getting stuck in quicksand.”
He claimed he was speaking to Pakistanis who haven’t laundered their wealth abroad rather than those who robbed the country.
Meanwhile, PTI supporters held a demonstration in front of the Governor’s House in Lahore. In the lead-up to Imran Khan’s speech. The party members also protested against the governor.
