BRISBANE Captain Meg Lanning and opener Phoebe Litchfield were the reason the Australian women’s team comfortably defeat Pakistan 8 wickets to none in their opening game of the three-match Day international series played at Allan Border Field on Monday.

After Litchfield lost her friend Beth Mooney early on, Lanning and Litchfield scored 137 in the second inning.
