American magazine Rolling Stone has featured Qawali master Nusrat Fateh Al Khan on its list, which includes the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time. He claimed the 91st place on the list, including artists like BTS’ Jungkook from K-pop, IU, the late Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar, and The Weeknd in Canada.

It also discussed Khan’s friends from the global music industry, including Madonna, Eddie Vedder, whom he collaborated with for the Dead Man Walking soundtrack, and Jeff Buckley, who called him his “Elvis.”

Aretha Franklin, a late American singer-songwriter, took the top spot. Whitney Houston and Sam Cook followed. Beyonce and Otis Redding were also part of the Top 10 section.

Mangeshkar’s music is popular in Pakistan. The magazine said that Mangeshkar’s crystalline, girlish voice is a cornerstone for Indian pop music. Her influence was spread through Bollywood movies, which she defined as the golden age of Indian music. Lata, the empress playback singer, was the vocal magician who sang songs for actors. She recorded over 7,000 songs and claimed 84th place on the list.

The list included Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and Chuck Berry, Usher, Chuck Berry, and Stevie Nicks. Also, Taylor Swift, Bono (Michael Jackson), Amy Winehouse, Joao Gilroy, and Billie Eilish. Rosalia, Burna boy, and others.
