Minister of Defence Khawaja Asif says Afghan authorities have promised Islamabad that their territory would not ever be used to sabotage Pakistan

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated on Monday during an interview. That Afghan terrain is being used for harm in Pakistan despite a deal made with the Taliban regime.

Khawaja was on the show following the closing of the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting in Islamabad.

The minister added that the Afghan authorities had promised Islamabad that their territory would never be used to sabotage Pakistan.

“The Pakistani government is in constant touch with Afghanistan in connection with border violations,” the official said.

Asif recalled an incident involving the national security committee of the legislative Parliament. The National Assembly was briefed by the former director general of Inter-Services Intelligence General (retd) Faiz Hameed and former general of the army (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa on the context of the talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and their subsequent developments.

NSC chooses not to allow anyone to “facilitate terrorists’

The previous Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif created the NSC. And made the decision that no nation could shelter and encourage terrorists. Pakistan retains all rights to protect its citizens.

The NSC’s 40th session, held in Islamabad, saw the adoption of the resolution. based on a formal statement issued on Monday by the PM’s residence.

The NSC promised to react firmly to the threat of a resurgence in terrorism across Pakistan and declared militants “enemies of Pakistan.”

Pakistan’s law and security conditions have become more difficult in the last few months. Terrorist groups, such as the TTP, banned TTP and have carried out terror attacks throughout the country.
