Ramiz Raja criticizes political influence in cricket for “Sethi and his thugs.”

Ramiz Raja criticizes political

On Monday, former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja criticizes political current PCB chairman Najam Sethi and “his goons” for changing the PCB’s constitution to remove him from office.

There a big shakeup at the top of the Pakistan cricket administration on December 21. When Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif created a 14-member management council. Led by Sethi, to oversee PCB operations until elections are held in the next four months.

Raja claimed there should be “no participation of politics in cricket” in a video posted to his YouTube account today in which he answered queries from the public.

Adding that outsiders who “come and attack and think the work you are doing is not proper” shouldn’t be brought in, he emphasized that the field belonged to the cricketers. The game should be played by them.

You altered the entire [PCB] Constitution to accommodate one man, Najam Sethi. I can’t recall ever seeing anything like it before.

He lamented that the alteration had been made in the middle of the cricket season when teams traveled to play, saying there was a method to such operations.

You show proper courtesy when saying goodbye to others. Sethi tweeted at 2:15 a.m., “Ramiz Raja is out; everyone, please congratulate me.”

Raja claimed ownership of the field because he was a Test cricketer. “So you are offended because it seems as though a messiah has come who will take cricket to tremendous heights, albeit we know their motivations are different,” the former PCB chief continued.

The idea that they’ve come to help improve and expand cricket is completely absent. They seek the title of lord and find pleasure in being the center of attention.

They have nothing to do with cricket, Raja claimed, and “they have never taken up a bat.”

The PCB chairmanship was supposed to be his for three years. Still, he was “sidelined” after only one year due to “political intervention and a political appointment,” he said.

When there is no continuity, and new players are brought in via such backdoor [means], the quality of play inevitably suffers.

He claimed that such appointments put a strain on the entire cricketing organization.

The constitution can only be altered in Pakistan to suit one man’s needs or to allow his thugs to enter.

Raja has pledged to bring up the topic of political meddling in sports at international conferences. Is this some cricket joke?

In response to a question on Raja’s ongoing criticism, Sethi said during a press conference earlier today, “Ramiz Raja will not be stopped at all.” I hold him in the highest esteem, and in retrospect, I can appreciate his stress.

Sethi informed Raja that if he was picked to provide commentary, the PCB would “not oppose it at any level – no sir, we would not.”

Ex-PCB Board of Governors members Shakil Sheikh, Gul Zada, and Nauman Butt, former Test cricketers Haroon Rashid, Shahid Khan Afridi, and Shafqat Rana, former Pakistan Women’s Team captain Sana Mir, former PCB Director of NHPC Aized Syed, former PCB President of Larkana Region Tanvir Ahmed, former PCB Advocate Supreme Court Mustafa Ramday, and former PCB President Chaudh (CEO Service Industries).

According to a member of the new management committee who asked to remain anonymous. The PCB’s 2014 constitution was a major factor in the group’s formation.

The Constitution of 2014 will be publicly restored “after a formal approval from the Federal Cabinet anytime soon as a summary has been moved for receiving [this] approval through circulation.”

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan signed off on the 2019 Constitution.

To restore the departmental cricket structure and allied matters within 120 days. This committee will administer PCB operations with full executive powers.
Including the nomination of the Board of Governors and the election of a chairman, as required under the 2014 Constitution

As soon as the necessary legal procedures are completed in 2019. Sources claimed Sethi will likely take over as PCB chairman.
