Microsoft investigates the Teams and Outlook outage as thousands of users complain of problems

Microsoft withheld information regarding the number of users affected by the outage, although figures from the website that records outages, Downdetector, showed more than 3,900 incidents in India and more than 900 in Japan. Australia, Britain, and the United Arab Emirates all saw an increase in outage reports.

By compiling status updates from many sources, including user-submitted problems on its platform, the Downdetector website keeps track of outages.

Most users were unable to communicate with one another, participate in calls, or utilize any Team program capabilities during the outage. The hashtag #MicrosoftTeams was trending on Twitter as a result of the large number of individuals who used the social media platform to share updates about the service outage.

With more than 280 million users worldwide, Microsoft Teams is a crucial component of corporate and educational operations. Users use the service to make calls, plan meetings, and manage their workflow.
