Sindh government launches services in Karachi; Memon says ruling PPP is focused on development and advancement

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, on Friday, announced the start of the first electric bus service in Pakistan in Karachi.

In an update on Twitter in which the minister announced that residents in the city will be able to use the bus service beginning today.

“This service will start from Tank Chowk Malir Cantt to Clock Tower Roundabout, Sea View Defence using Khayaban e Ittihad,” he explained in addition to stating that passengers at airports can also use this service.

Based on the Sindh Mass Transit Authority, these electric buses are environmentally sustainable since they charge with solar power.

In addition, the costs for these bases are affordable, and they will provide an enjoyable journey.

“PPP’s Sindh government is always focused on development, progress, and prosperity,” Memon said Memon via a Twitter post from yesterday.

In the last month in the month of April, in the month of October, the Sindh administration decided last month to introduce electric taxi services for the people of Karachi Karachi, which include pink-colored taxis driven by women to female passengers.

Memon was quoted as saying that the service will begin with two phases consisting of pink and blue-colored taxis. The pink taxis will come equipped with cameras as well as an electronic monitoring system to ensure security and safety.

The move towards electric transport services is designed to be secure, sustainable, affordable, and comfortable for the citizens.
